Net Farm Income to Drop 13 Percent in 2018, USDA Projects
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Economic Research Service (ERS) projected net farm income to be $65.7 billion in 2018, a $9.8 billion, 13 percent decrease from 2017. National Farmers Union says the projection highlights the need to act quickly on the 2018 farm bill, trade protections, and biofuel market expansion.
